Youth Poll on Drinking

LONDON, ENGLAND--A survey on youth and drinking published by the London Borough of Hammersmith revealed that, not only do young people now drink more, but they start drinking younger. The students who were questioned in the survey said that they had their first drink when they were about 12 1/2 years old. People over 40 questioned said they did not have their first drink until after they were 16. Girls tend to start slightly before men, and both agreed that drinking stimulated their sex drive.
