Anything for Kicks

This youngster tried it all and now he's trying AA

I AM NINETEEN years of age and have been in trouble most of my life. When I was nine, my brothers and I had a habit of swiping whiskey and beer from our dad and drinking what we could. We always had a desire to be on our own, to fight our way alone, and our folks didn't seem able to show us whether they cared for us or not. I guess we were too many. All of this comes home to me now as I listen to others tell their stories, and I sit back realizing why lots of this happened to me. I am right along with them, and they understand me.
