The American Medical Society on Alcoholism held its first annual meeting June 23--24, in Chicago and Park Ridge, Ill. AMSA states: "The purpose of the Society is to serve as a meeting ground for physicians with special interest and experience in the field of alcoholism, who wish to share this experience with other professionals and with the general public."
