Carrying the Message

A word on anonymity

About a year ago, we held a closed "Group Conscience" meeting, from which a number of constructive suggestions emerged. Among other things, the members agreed that more stress should be placed upon anonymity--particularly at our open meetings. Accordingly, a member was designated to review the AA literature on the subject and to prepare a brief statement to be read in conjunction with the Preamble at the beginning of each of our meetings. The central thoughts were drawn from Bill W.'s pamphlet "AA Tradition--How It Developed."
