Carrying the Message

If I seem to protest, it's because I've heard so much disdain expressed in AA for a worthy profession which, I believe, may have saved my life--just as AA is doing now. I've never heard a psychiatrist knock AA, but I've heard a lot of ill-considered or ignorant remarks by AA members about psychiatry. Nor have I heard a single psychiatrist say he could arrest alcoholism. In my case, I was told the reverse!
