AND LAST but far from least we have the tale of the farmer whose aged mother was in a nursing home. Every time he visited her, he took a bottle of fresh milk, to which he added a little brandy to warm his mother's tired bones. She never said a thing about the milk until one day when she said, "Albert, you are truly a good son. But can I ask you to make me one promise?"
