Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

IF CHRISTMAS COMES, can New Year's be far behind? No, of course it can't, and between the two a lot of lushes, sober and otherwise, have a difficult time. 'Tis, after all, the season to be jolly. Most of us spent a great part of the holidays being very jolly indeed, not so much on New Year's Eve--which is Amateur Night, when even hardened civilians are likely to be a wee bit tipsy--as on Christmas.
