My Waterloo
This Hungarian seaman tells, in the language of the heart, how he met defeat and won a victory
I WAS A sailor in my youth. Well, in this time I was serving on the board of an Italian ship, and I am first time to Great Britain, in Cardiff, Wales. One afternoon, we had got a landing permit, and we four sailors, together with our boatswain, went to see the city. It was a damned hot day. We were walking and gaping across the streets, but the most interesting event was the fact that I met here my Waterloo.
