Computerized AA?

Because of the great volume of record-keeping handled by the AA General Service Office, it seemed advisable at least to look into the possibility of setting up a system of automatic data processing. Accountants for AA World Services, Inc., studied the plan and turned in a strong recommendation against it. But the finishing touch was applied by an expert at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA operations, of course, depend heavily upon many types of "electronic brains." Yet the expert, when consulted by an AA friend, sent back a "No" verdict, including these evidences of remarkable understanding of AA (quoted in the Quarterly Report from GSO):
