Carrying the Message

When I first came to AA as a woman alcoholic very, very sick in body, mind, and spirit, it was relatively easy for me to admit and accept the First Step of the AA program. But when I read the Second Step, "Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity," I thought to myself, "I'll probably fail here." I was kinda on the fence as to whether I believed or didn't believe in a Power greater than myself. I was agnostic, I guess, and what I couldn't see, it was hard for me to believe.
