Carrying the Message

At the time I came shaking to AA for help to stop drinking, I was totally and completely fed up with me. I couldn't stand myself. I was sick and tired of the almighty I. My self-centeredness was extreme. I had long since become repugnant and repulsive to me--the guy who always had to be the center of attraction, always had to have his way, always had to run the show, though on occasion with noble motives and only the highest of intentions.
