Carrying the Message

Try harder

Well, I am a heavy drinker. I just can't control it. Money don't mean a thing to me. I'm always in jail. I just can't do anything for myself, so I'm in bad shape, and it's time that I stop drinking for my own good. I have been told not to drink by doctors. I have never stayed dry over six months at a time, but plan to do better this time. I know that I have to try harder, and with the help of AA I hope to stay dry. Just think of the time I have spent in jail alone, for doing nothing but drink real heavy. So I must be an alky pure and simple. I have been drinking for forty years, twenty of that time real heavy. I look back, and it's a lot of misery.
