ALSO IN THE NEWS was the improbable tale of the cops who picked up a couple of erstwhile gentlemen who had had too much. Both of them fell sound asleep in the paddy wagon and didn't wake when the cops stopped to pick up another drunk. However, the best-laid plans sometimes go awry, and this night was no exception.
