I'm Back on the Stuff!
And my AA friends can't help me--they just don't understand
AFTER eight years of sobriety, preceded by three and one-half years of trying to get sober in AA, I find myself a confirmed coffeeholic. I have been aware of my condition for some time. On New Year's Day of 1970, I took a pledge: no more coffee, one day at a time. For almost ten months, it was nice not to have an upset stomach and to be able to sleep at nights.
