Surprising Trends in Arrests

In order to study trends in the number of arrests and the causes for arrests, the FBI recently finished compiling a Uniform Crime Report for the years 1960 and 1969, in U.S. cities and counties representing a total population of about 94,853,000. As might be expected, a huge increase is seen in arrests for breach of narcotic-drug laws, especially among the under-18 group: males, 2,281.1%; females, 3,468%.
