Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

ONE OF OUR VERY OWN members-to-be decided to take up barbering. Naturally, this big step made him bolster his courage the night before he was due to start barber college. As you might expect, his hands were none too steady the next morning, and as the day wore on, he got worse. Finally, he was given the job of shaving a man--and proceeded to nick him here and there with the razor. The customer called a halt and asked for a glass of water. He took a sip of it and began swishing it around in his mouth. "What's the matter?" our buddy asked. "Toothache?"
