Slips
From the last part of the First Step to the end of the Twelfth, they are all about my life and its unmanageability.
I GOT DRUNK after fourteen years" sobriety because I stopped going to AA, stopped talking with AAs, and failed to practice the AA principles in my daily life. After a year away from the program, I inadvertently look a drink. I had not planned to. After the first swallow, I thought, "What the hell, I've had a swallow--I might as well finish it." A year later, I was an animal.
