The Will to Believe

This atheist found he needed God in his life

WHEN I CAME to AA for help, I was an atheist--truly and deeply, according to all definitions I have seen. To me, "God" was a word to describe the cop-out answers to superstitious fears about all the unknowns, including death. It was a personalizing of ignorance, a shoddy avoidance of facing reality.
