Alcoholics run a greater risk of suffering from a slowly deteriorating heart disease, rather than heart attack, which is sudden, and almost always fatal, Henry B. Murphree, Ph.D., told an international seminar on alcoholism held in New Jersey. While the results are different, both originate in blood-vessel diseases.
