Initiative needed

I have been most interested in the recent discussions on anonymity. There are a lot of AAs who, having recovered, don't want it known that they ever were drunks, and they use the anonymity tradition to hide behind. I have said, when speaking at meetings here, "The anonymity of the individual is his property and is sacred as far as I am concerned, but we should not kid ourselves that this is what the anonymity tradition urges."
