Progress in Worldwide AA

As agreed at the first AA World Service Meeting, in 1969, the second was also held in New York City. On October 5-6-7, at the Hotel Roosevelt, 29 Delegates took part in sessions on structure, finances, publishing, services, and overseas General Service Boards. Newcomers to the meeting were Ireland and Sweden, with two Delegates each. AA in each of the following countries and areas, which were represented in 1969, sent two: Australia, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of South Africa, United Kingdom. Two Delegates were again appointed by the North American General Service Conference (U.S. and Canada) to attend the meeting. One Delegate came from Central America (Southern Zone--Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama). And two Delegates from Colombia this time were asked to represent the rest of South America as well.
