Doctor Jack Reports

How can AA help alcoholics in the U.S. military services? Hopes and challenges in this area were pointed out by John L. Norris, MD, after he returned from his tour of Seventh Army bases in West Germany (noted in last month's "About Alcoholism" department). Doctor jack, nonalcoholic chairman of the AA General Service Board and an authority on alcoholism, spoke at meetings largely attended by chaplains; very few command people, medical people, or social-service people were on hand, he found.
