Around AA - Items of AA Information and Experience

In response to the "Around AA" item in the November 1971 Grapevine, which was the first published announcement of the Navy's new Alcohol Abuse Control Program, many letters and calls were received from Fellowship members interested in helping to educate all naval personnel with regard to the AA view of alcoholism and in helping to rehabilitate those alcoholics who desire to recover. These Twelfth Step volunteers will be put to work as cases turn tip in their areas. More contacts will be welcomed from experienced AA members (at least two years' continuous sobriety) on active duty or retired, any Navy rate or rank.
