AA anniversaries, offering proof that the program works, may also serve as occasions for public information. In a letter from Seymour, Ind., I. K. reports: "To celebrate a year's sobriety for a member, we often have a 'pitch-in' dinner and invite people from industry, ministers, doctors, judges. We usually have a good turnout, with our group plus AAs from nearby towns. Last month, we had about 70 people, and we had as our speaker an AA doctor from Louisville, Ky."
