Carrying the Message

I believe finding God as I understand Him was due in part to my participation in institutional work. Before that, I had an awful time In this most important part of AA--the spiritual. My family and I have had so many great experiences since I have been restored to sanity, and many of them have been with AAs in institutions. One we'll never forget was last Sunday. My wife, my son, and I went to an open house at an institution to visit a good AA friend. He had never had a visitor in twelve years behind bars, and he has been a sober AA member the past ten years.
