Patience!

How many of us have felt so many times like the fifth wheel? We were only a spare if one of the bridge members couldn't make it or if an extra was needed to help serve at a tea or a luncheon. We seemed to be on the shelf most of the time, until somebody else had to be excused or couldn't do it. There is value in this for us if we can be patient. Some time, somewhere, one of the big-shot tires will go flat, and the spare will be ready and waiting. So, if you feel like nothing but want to be something, just be content to be a fifth wheel. Your turn will come.
