Physicians' Personal Problems

More physicians die in the United States by suicide than by automobile accidents, plane crashes, drownings, and homicide combined. The physicians' suicide rate is double the suicide rate for all white Americans. Dr. Mathew Ross, professor of psychiatry at the University of Rhode Island, reported on the problem at the fifth World Congress of Psychiatry.
