Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

OTHER-ADDICTIONS-No-One-Has-Ever-Heard-Of Dept: We all know about addiction to booze, and most of us have at least heard of getting hung-up on pills, pot, and such. But what about ice cream? Consider the case of our Uncle Ben. By the time he was in high school, he was spending every afternoon in the corner drugstore gobbling sundaes. By the time he was out of college, he had started sneaking down to the ice-cream parlor for ice-cream sodas. And by the time he was thirty, he had to have three paper cups of ice cream when he woke up. He went on from there, spooning the stuff into himself all day, winding up with a midnight banana split.
