USELESS INFORMATION: You've undoubtedly heard the expression "drunk as a lord." Just on the odd chance that you were sitting there aching to know where that expression started (there's about as much chance of that as there is of finding a ton of gold on your doorstep tomorrow morning), it started with Lord Brougham, the British chancellor who lived between 1778 and 1868. He was such a notable consumer of ardent spirits that a liquor bottle was designed in his likeness.
