That God Could and Would. . .

We can help one another, but inevitably we must seek for ourselves

AT MY AA MEETING, I have been waiting for you. You see, I am an alcoholic. By the grace of God, one day I sought help. Of course, I didn't really want to stop drinking, for alcohol was not my problem. You were part of my problem. You created pressures that caused me to drink too much; my family caused pressures; my profession, my childhood, my parents, and life in general caused pressures. I needed a way to reduce these pressures. But my efforts to flee these pressures eventually sent me to AA. You and everybody else seemed to think that alcohol was my problem. If I made a move that appeared to answer you, perhaps you and the others would get off my back.
