Artists Don't Have to Be Crazy

It's possible to be creative and sober

I AM A GRATEFUL and recovering alcoholic who happens to be a creative artist, a musician. For a long time, I was certain that the artistic temperament was completely compatible with alcohol. It seemed that every artistic group, whether it was a bunch of painters, sculptors, writers, actors, or musicians, invariably drank hot and heavy.
