Carrying the Message

For four years, I was contentedly sober, but I stopped listening the last two years. So I returned to the bottle. For the next two years, all the hell inside a person was there. Most of the time, I was sober; by clinging to the spiritual life and belief and prayer, I stayed alive, but resentful and all messed up.
