Carrying the Message

One of the fringe benefits of AA is to meet people in this Fellowship wherever we may travel. The World Directory is full of thousands of friends we have yet to meet. One of my first contacts with AA outside my own city was when I returned to England after twenty years away. There, in a little market town in Yorkshire, I met three members in the small kitchen of a very old church. These three had been meeting there for years. They were overjoyed to see a visitor from Canada. In London, at a big meeting on busy Oxford Street, there were many visitors from all over the world.
