Carrying the Message

In one way, I'm one of the fortunate--I lived under bridges and in abandoned autos, boxcars, and the weeds, always running, trying to stay one jump ahead of everything, sometimes hoping the law would catch me and that way I would at least be off the juice for a day or two.
