Carrying the Message

The suggestion in "The Good Within the Enemy" in the August Grapevine, to "love and bless the Power that flows through each of us," is the only way we can stop being part of the problem and become part of the solution. The trend toward condemning and criticizing is so popular because it seems to take the heat off our own sense of inferiority. But how futile it is to concentrate solely on the apparent defects in another person--or, for that matter, in ourselves. It is a universal law that one can build only from something which is positive. When we go into a dark room, we don't struggle with the darkness; we simply turn on the light! This same principle applies to our own characters. When we pay attention to what is right within us, the right grows and the wrong automatically diminishes.
