Community Effort

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.--The Rutgers University Center of Alcohol Studies has been awarded a $335,357 grant to train community workers to treat alcoholism in poverty areas. The grant comes from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism of the National Institute of Mental Health. The program is part of a total training effort taking place in 11 northeastern states, the District of Columbia, and the commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
