Carrying the Message

When the First Brigade "Scorpions," Third Armored Division, went to Hohenfels, West Germany, for their annual summer field training, AA went along. AA members of the unit, who had previously met in the Ayers Kaserne Chapel back at home station, now held three meetings each week in such places as the chaplain's tent. They met under the light of a gasoline lantern and (of course!) enjoyed the mess sergeant's strong, black coffee. The men not only took their fellowship and message to the field, but returned with a new member.
