Carrying the Message

This month, I celebrate my sixth year of sobriety. Important as that is to me, what's more important is that this also marks the fifth anniversary of the Amsterdam International Group. Five years ago, Jan V. D. B. invited me to his house to meet Bob and Nadine B., who were vacationing in Europe, far from their home in Tucson, Ariz. None of us could know, of course, that we were attending the first meeting of the first English-speaking group in the Netherlands.
