Around AA - Items of AA Information and Experience

At the close of the World Service Meeting, it was saluted by the "AA Around the World" theme of New York Intergroup Association's Annual Dinner in Honor of Bill W. As reported in this department last month, all the Delegates were guests at the dinner. Five also spoke at the AA meeting that followed in the banquet hall. A Delegate from Ireland read the Preamble first in Gaelic (" 'Irish,' we call it") and then in English. Five personal stories of recovery were told, by men from Colombia, England, and the U.S. and women from Australia and Sweden. Every one of them mused the same warm feeling of identification that links us when we listen to a talk in our hometown or neighborhood group. Truly, "There is only one AA."
