Progress--With a Hitch

A law in the state of Wisconsin requires all group health-insurance policies to cover treatment for alcoholism, regardless of where the insurance company is located. Wisconsin is the first state to pass such a law. Health professionals are welcoming it, as they feel it removes a stumbling block--namely, cost--which has been keeping some alcoholics from seeking or accepting treatment for their illness.
