Sobering Up Fast

Research undertaken at Edinburgh University, Scotland, lends empirical support to the theory that fructose helps to sober up more quickly. Of 19 patients admitted to hospital for acute alcohol intoxication, those given fructose solution intravenously rid their bodies of alcohol at a rate 25% faster than those given only saline solutions.
