Whaddya Mean, Unmanageable?

Maybe a little problem here and there, but. . .

BACK IN our days of wine and roses, some of us must have had lucid moments when we wondered whether we might be alcoholics, such as when we realized, we were probably the only one on our street who had to have a few drinks in the morning before he could tie his shoelaces. Or incidents such as the time we were out fishing, got the line tangled like a bird's nest on the reel, and after picking fruitlessly at it between nips on a bottle, finally heaved the rod, the reel, and a tackle box of expensive lures into twenty feet of water. Yet, in spite of things far worse than this, we clung tenaciously to the belief that we were still capably managing our lives.
