Instant serenity?
I came to AA and expected serenity, contentment, and peace of mind instantly. Needless to say, I was lost to the bottle again. But not today. Now I'm glad we don't get those benefits all at once--I couldn't handle such a big bundle at one time! But what a joy it is when we receive even one of them, one day at a time.
