The Power and the Pill

I WAS INTRODUCED to AA after my release from the locked ward at an Air Force base hospital. I had had the DTs and was extremely disturbed. It was to take me over a year to return to near normal. The psychiatrist put me on Antabuse before releasing me. A month later, out of desperation, I went to AA. The man I contacted took me to many meetings. He did not ask me whether I wanted to go. He just said he'd pick me up the next night at seven.
