Suddenly, without warning, some of us are given a glimpse into the eternal
IT WAS one of those rare clear, crisp California winter nights--so clear that stars seemed like street lights hanging directly over my head by invisible threads. Having attended a nearby AA meeting, I had parked my car and was walking along a path toward my home.
