My Speaking Suit

THE FIRST time I spoke at a closed meeting, it was just by chance. I had been around the group for about six months and had refused to speak on a number of occasions. I was extremely shy, and the members of my group were trying to encourage me to be more active. I would set up the meeting and sweep up afterwards, but I hardly ever spoke to anyone except Tony, the coffee maker.
