Once Over Lightly
Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery
NOW WE'LL TAKE YOU out of those smoky saloons into the fresh air. This story is about a fellow who was fishing, but mainly drinking, in a boat on a lake. For several hours, he tried in vain to catch something, but finally gave up. As he was rowing toward shore, a big trout leaped out of the water and landed in the boat. The sozzled sportsman grabbed it and threw it back into the lake. "Oh no you don't!" he exclaimed. "If you ain't gonna bite, you ain't gonna ride."
