I would like to answer Alice's letter. I am an alcoholic with over fifteen years of sobriety. I am also an RN, who was once bigoted about the use of medication. Through the years, I've become a schizophrenic and a diabetic. I take medication for both and am every bit as much an AA member as the next one. I have a conscious contact with my Higher Power and work the Steps and Slogans to the best of my ability.
