AND HERE'S ANOTHER in the realm of irrational reasoning. A research scientist in the field of alcoholism mixed some whiskey with water, drank it, and got drunk. Next, he mixed brandy with water, drank that, and got drunk again. Finally, he consumed a mixture of rum and water, with the same result. So he logically concluded that water is intoxicating.
