Kooks, doctors, and the GV

After twenty-five years of active membership in AA, I find many things going on at meetings with which I thoroughly disagree. In fact, they are utterly distasteful. Some of those now coming to AA are kooks and cult freaks. They blandly murmur that they have a "dual or triple problem," and I don't believe that alcohol is their primary problem, and I don't intend to sit quietly and let them make a cult out of AA. Alcoholics Anonymous was founded by two alcoholics and for alcoholics. As Bill W. quoted, "Shoemaker, stick to your last."
